John "Bobby" Robert Mixon

Mr. John Robert “Bobby” Mixon, 67, passed away Friday, September, 24, 2021 in the South Georgia Medical Center, Valdosta, following a short illness. Mr. Mixon was born March 4, 1954 in Homerville, GA to the late Martin Lewis Mixon and Betty Robinson Mixon. He was of the Primitive Baptist faith and had worked for Associated Contractors. He loved spending time with his children and grandchildren and was the ideal Daddy. He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters: Doris Houser and Mildred Dewberry; and one brother: Allen Mixon. Survivors are his wife: Mildred Bullard Mixon, Homerville; one daughter, Leslie Ann Mixon, TX; one son: John Abram Mixon (Amber), Homerville; one sister: Laura Mixon Courson, Waycross; two brothers: Eldon Lewis Mixon (Cathy) and Ellis Mixon, all of Waycross; four grandchildren: Amary Mixon, Maria Mixon, Mary Mixon and Ramon Perez, a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives. Graveside services for Mr. Mixon will be held Monday, September 27, 2021, at five o’clock in the Mount Olive Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery, Manor.
