Eileen Henderson

Melanie Eileen Henderson, 63, of Homerville passed away Tuesday (July 20, 2021) at Langdale Hospice in Valdosta after an extended illness. She was born in Nashville, GA to the late Cody and Bessie Young Henderson. Ms. Henderson was a 1978 graduate of Clinch County High School. She worked for Video Odyssey for many years and after it closed worked at Dollar General Store. Ms. Henderson was a member of First Baptist Church and taught Sunday School for many years. Along with her parents she was preceded in death by one sister, Vivian Booth; one nephew, Brance Register; her loving dog, Vinny. Survivors include three sisters, Angie Cumby (husband Jimmy) of Valdosta, Oudia Calley (husband Billy) of Homerville, and Louise Rankin of Iverness, FL; niece and caregiver, Lori Register (husband Brad) of Homerville; numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives. A funeral service will be held Friday morning at 11 am at First Baptist Church. Burial will be in Pine Forest Cemetery. Sympathy may be expressed online at www.roundtreefuneralhome.net.
