Mrs. Willie Mae Saylor, 95, passed away peacefully Friday, November 1, 2019, in the Clinch Memorial Hospital, following a long illness. Mrs. Saylor was born June 22, 1924, in Homerville, GA to the late Willie Jordon and Lou Mae Pittman Griffis. She was a caregiver for most of her life. She was a member of the Macclenny Church of God and attended the Victory Church of God Of Prophecy. She was preceded in death by her husband: Loyd Cox; daughter: Janice Neilson; and brothers: Melvin Griffis and Allan Griffis; and sister: Rosa Lee Griffis. Survivors are one daughter: Mary Joyce (Generato) Mercado, Jacksonville, FL; son: Lloyd Edward (Janet) Cox, Homerville; sister: Minnie Jean Kelly, Valdosta; eleven grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren, sixteen great-great grandchildren and a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives. Memorialization will be by cremation. Sympathy maybe expressed by signing the online registry at www.roundtreefuneralhome.net. Roundtree Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
