Tom Reedy, Sr.

Thomas Eugene “Tom” Reedy, Sr., 81, of Homerville passed away Wednesday, April 13, 2022, at his residence. He was born in Dade City, FL to the late Alfred and Annis Gilmore Reedy. Mr. Reedy worked many years at the Dollar General Warehouse in Homerville in Maintenance and was a of the Christian faith. He always enjoyed fishing, hunting, and spending time with his grandchildren. Mr. Reedy especially enjoyed playing music on his harmonica, guitar, and his many violins that he built.

Along with his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret Annette Stalvey Reedy; three brothers, James Reedy, Harold Reedy, and Richard Reedy.

Survivors include two children, Debra Moore (husband Charles) of Floral City, FL and Tommy Reedy, Jr. of Naylor; three step-children, Carlena Bessonette (husband George) of Homerville, Lisa Walters (husband David) of TyTy, GA, and Dale Pittman of Homerville; nine grandchildren, Chett Thomason (wife Mariah) of Holiday, FL, Sheale Stipes (husband Zachary) of Hahira, Nicholas Elijah Reedy of Ohio, Scott Suggs (wife Amanda) of Ocilla, Nikki Bisdorf (husband Tom) of Homerville, Brett Warren (wife Victoria) of Valdosta, Landry Pittman of Nashville, GA, Amber Touchton (husband Jacob) of Homerville, Tiffany Hendley (husband Brent) of Homerville, and Mandi Norman of TyTy, GA; twenty-five great grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

A funeral service will be held Saturday at 1 pm at Zenith Baptist Church in Manor. Burial will follow in Zenith Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Saturday beginning at 12 pm at the church.
