Summer Brianna Adams

Summer Adams, age 29, of Homerville, Georgia, passed away unexpectedly on July 12, 2026.

She was the cherished daughter of Michelle Adams and Michael Corbitt, who lovingly raised her and was the father she knew and loved. She also leaves behind her biological father, Willie F. Bell.

Above all, Summer was a loving mother whose greatest joy was her children. She leaves behind her five beloved children: Autumn Adams, Chloe Palmer, Hayden Adams, Rita Adams, and Cora Adams. She loved her children deeply, and they will forever carry the memories and love she gave them.

She also leaves behind the man she loved, Norman Burns.

Summer was a beloved sister and leaves behind a large and loving family. Through her mother, Michelle Adams, she is survived by Heather Adams, Chad Adams, Megan Adams, and Hannah James. Through the family of the father who raised her, Michael Corbitt, she is survived by Michael Allen Corbitt, Aaron Corbitt, Samuel Corbitt, Levi Corbitt, and Dustin James. Through her biological father, Willie F. Bell, she is survived by Alicia Jackson, Telecia Jackson, Deondrix Magby, Phillip Southern, Khadijah Daye, Jarvis Bell, and Jeremy Bell.

She also leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews who will forever cherish the memories they shared with her.

She was preceded in death by her grandmother, Rita Brantley; her great-grandmother, Evelyn Stephens; her great-grandfather, John Revis Newbern, Sr.; her uncle, Buddy Newbern; and the two precious babies she carried but never had the chance to hold.

Though her life was far too short, Summer leaves behind a legacy of love through her children, family, and the many lives she touched. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who knew and loved her.

A graveside service will be held Wednesday, July 22, 2026 at 11:30 am at Lang Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Wednesday morning from 10 am until 11 am at Roundtree Funeral Home.
