Sarah Lillian Pittman Raffield

Mrs. Sarah Lillian Pittman Raffield, 81, passed away Thursday, January 2, 2020, at her home, surrounded by her loving family, following an extended illness. Mrs. Raffield was born, April 30, 1938, in Homerville, to the late Arthur Bascum Pittman and Dollie Mae Jordan Pittman. She was a homemaker and was preceded in death by her husband: Felton Henry Raffield; three brothers: Joel Pittman, Louie Pittman and Arthur “Buckshot” Pittman. Survivors are two daughters and son-in-law: Diann & Terry Griner, Oxford, GA and Wanda Carroll & fiancé Lawrence Williams, Homerville: two sons and daughters-in-law: Arthur Raffield & fiancé Karen Moore, Homerville and Stanley & Nicole Raffield, DuPont; one sister: Glenda Delk, Homerville; one brother: Roger Pittman, Homerville; ten grandchildren, ten great grandchildren, a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives. Funeral services for Mrs. Raffield will be held Saturday, January 4, 2020 at two o’clock at the Lighthouse Assembly of God. Interment will be in the Elam Harper Cemetery, Lax, GA. The family will receive friends Friday, January 3, 2020 from six till eight p.m. at the funeral home. Mrs. Raffield will be carried to the church one hour prior to the services.
