Penny Davis

Judy Laverne “Penny” Davis, 67, of Homerville passed away Sunday morning, April 16, 2023, at her residence after a short illness. She was born in Palatka, FL to John L. Davis and the late Vivian Strickland. She lived in Homerville for most of her life and was a homemaker.

Along with her mother she was preceded in death by her significant other, Jimmy Foster; one sister, Linda Delk; two brothers, Kenneth Davis and Johnny Davis.

Survivors include two daughters, Cassy Wheeler of Valdosta, and Julie Gaskins (Steven Cartwright) of Homerville; one son, James Davis of Springfield, MO; six grandchildren, AnaLee Wheeler, Hannah Wheeler, Kenzie Gaskins, Coltan Gaskins, Jamie Lee Davis, and Hayden Davis all of Homerville; father, John L. Davis of Palatka, FL; two sisters, Bonnie Morland of Ontario, CA and Crissy Clark of Daytona, FL; several nieces, nephews and other relatives.

A memorial service will be held Saturday afternoon, April 22, 2023, at 2 pm at Roundtree Funeral Home.

The family will receive friends Saturday from 1 until 2 pm at the funeral home.
