Naomi Jeffords, 88, of Homerville passed away Saturday, January 1, 2022, at River Brook Healthcare after an extended illness. She was born in Pearson to the late Harmon Van and Leila Garren Jeffords. Ms. Jeffords lived most of her life in Homerville and was a homemaker. She was a member of Homerville United Methodist Church and volunteered with the Clinch County Elections.
Along with her parents she was preceded in death by one son, Timmy Griffis; one grandson, Drew Griffis; three sisters, Chessie Culliver, Evelyn Capan, and Orie Pittman; three brothers, Lloyd Jeffords, H.V. Jeffords, and Jeff Jeffords.
Survivors include five children, Penny Griffis and his wife Rose of Millwood, Vana Bennett and her husband Alan of DuPont, Jeffrey Griffis of Homerville, Judi Wooten and her husband Steve of Climax, GA, Duke Griffis of Homerville; ten grandchildren, twenty great grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild; one sister, Doris Stalvey of Jacksonville; numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
A funeral service will be held Tuesday afternoon at 2 pm at Homerville United Methodist Church. Burial will follow in Arabia Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 1 pm until 1:45 pm Tuesday afternoon at the church.
