Merle Knowles

Mr. Maxie Merle Knowles, 61, passed away Tuesday, Sept. 10, 2019, in the Clinch Memorial Hospital, following a brief illness.   Mr. Knowles was born Dec. 11, 1957, in Folkston, GA to Mrs. Jane McCollugh Allen and the late Maxie Cornelius Knowles. He owned and operated Magnum Equipment and Grading Company. He was a member of the Higher Heights Christian Fellowship, Fargo Hunting Club and an ex-member of the Fargo Volunteer Fire Department.   Survivors other than his mother are his wife of 28 years: Ima Jean Cribbs Knowles, Fargo; two sons: Joshua M. Knowles, Alabama and Eric McCain, Fargo; one daughter: Shannon Thompson, Lake City, FL; one sister and brother-in-law: LaRee & Craig Seeley, New York; two brothers: Lynn Knowles and Jesse C. Allen both of Jacksonville, FL; 8 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild, a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives.   Funeral services for Mr. Knowles will be held Sunday, Sept. 15, 2019 at three o’clock at the Higher Heights Christian Fellowship.   Interment will be in the Fargo Memorial Cemetery.   The family will receive friends, Saturday, Sept. 14, 2019, from 4 p.m. until, at the church.   Sympathy maybe expressed by signing the online registry at www.roundtreefuneralhome.net.   Roundtree Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
