Mart Robert Carver

Mr. Mart Robert Carver, 74, of Fruitland died Saturday, August 29, 2026, at his residence following a short illness.

Mr. Carver was born in Clinch County to the late James Clarence Carver, Sr. and Beulah Chauncey Carver. He attended the Fruitland Church of God and loved hunting and fishing, He was preceded in death by his, father and mother, and one brother, James Clarence Carver, Jr.

Survivors are one son: Timmy Alfred Bennett, Fruitland; five sisters and brothers-in-law: Gwendolyn Fender, Annie Rose & Mark Hayes, Brenda & Alton Fender, all of Fruitland, Debbie & Danny Baker, Lowndes County and Vonceil Huggins, Statenville; two brothers and sisters-in-law: Billy & Gwen Carver, Bainbridge, GA and Dolan & Kathy Carver, Fruitland, two grandchildren: Micheal Tyler Bennett, and Timothy Alexander Bennett, both of Jasper, FL; three great grandchildren: Micheal James Bennett, Rylan Hayes, and Caden Nichols and several nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Funeral services for Mr. Carver will be held, Saturday, September 5, 2026 at the Fruitland Church of God at 12:00 noon. Officiating will be Pastor Audrey Manac and Associate Pastor Kathy Carver.

The family will receive friends Friday night, September 4, 2026 from 6 till 8 p.m. at the Fruitland Church of God.

The family request the any food be brought to the church on Saturday, September 5, 2026, for a lunch after the funeral.

The family request that in instead of flowers, donations be made to Roundtree Funeral Home, 240 E. Dame Ave., Homerville, GA, 31634, to help offset funeral expenses.
