Major (Retired) William Bradshaw Crewe, Sr.

June 20, 1932 — January 8, 2022

Major (Retired) William Bradshaw Crewe, Sr. Major William (Bill) Bradshaw Crewe, Sr. was born in Baltimore, MD on June 20, 1932. He passed peacefully at home with his loving family. Bill was preceded in death by his loving wife, Willena Daugharty Crewe of 62 years; his parents, William Preston Crewe and Ruth Slagle Crewe; his sister, Elizabeth Slagle; father and mother-in-law, George Ray Daugharty, Sr. and Wilma Daugharty; brother and sister-in-law, William Fogg, Sr. and Glenice Daugharty Fogg; brother-in-law, George Ray Daugharty, Jr. Bill is survived by his two sons, Mark Gibson Ray Crewe and William Bradshaw Crewe, Jr. and wife Cynthia L. Crewe. His grandchildren, Lindsay Crewe Dement (husband Travis Dement), William B. Crewe, III, and Hannah L. Crewe. Bill served his country in the United State Air Force as a Fighter Pilot. He flew the F86 Sabre and the F104 Star Fighter. Notable units he served in were the Hat n Ring Squadron and the 331st Fighter Squadron. After retiring from the Air Force in 1972 Bill became a very successful real estate broker and owned a thriving business. Bill raised two sons, Mark and Brad Crewe who loved their father deeply and had great respect and admiration for him. He was also a devoted husband who served and loved his wife for 62 years. They were truly inseparable till her death in November 2020. We will miss our father and mother and now look forward to seeing them in the resurrection. A special thanks to his sister-in-law, Judy Daugharty for assisting us with dad’s arrangements at the Antioch Methodist Church and Lindsay Smith for transporting our parents to doctors appointments. A small graveside service will be held at Historical Antioch Methodist Church in Homerville, GA on Friday, January 14, 2022, at 11 am for family and close friends. Sympathy may be expressed online at www.roundtreefuneralhome.net. Roundtree Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
