Mrs. Annie Louise “Granny Lou” Beecher Suggs, 78, passed away Wednesday, February 9, 2022 in the Memorial Satilla Hospital, Waycross, GA, following a short illness.
Mrs. Suggs was born in Ware County, September 13, 1943, to the late Earnest “Red” Beecher and Beulah Boyd Steedley. She was a member of the Place of Blessings Church of God, Argyle and attended the Lighthouse Assembly of God. She kept children in her home for over 40 years and loved every minute of it.
Mrs. Suggs was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Carey Suggs; son, Carey Allen Suggs, daughter-in-law, Kay Suggs, two sisters, Nellie Beecher and Jeannie Thompson; three brothers: Reginald Beecher, Clyde Beecher and Bo Beecher.
Survivors are two daughters: Betty Hall (Dwight), Cameron, NC and Nicki Willis (Everett) Homerville; one son: Kevis Suggs, Homerville; one sister: Patricia Thomas, Waycross; eight grandchildren, Kerri Ann & Brandon Wilson, Hope & Chase Moylan, Autumn Grace Willis, Mya Hall, Brianna Hall, Wendy Bartley, Joseph Paulk and Brandon Paulk; seven great grandchildren; Johannah Faith Willis, Ashley Bartley, Josh Brock, Lila Wilson, Bentley Wilson, Kinleigh Ann Moylan and Ella Moylan, several nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
Funeral services for Mrs. Suggs will be held Monday, February 14, 2022, at eleven o’clock at the Lighthouse Assembly of God.
Burial will be in the New Prospect Church Cemetery, Manor.
The family will receive friends Sunday, February 13, 2022, from 6 till 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
