Linda Register Griffis

Linda Register Griffis, 75, of Homerville passed away Thursday afternoon, June 20, 2024, at her residence after an extended illness. She was born in Homerville to the late Eldred Register and Julia Bell Register Bradford and lived here all of her life. Mrs. Griffis retired from B-Way in 2004 after thirty-eight years of service. She attended New Vision Church of God and always enjoyed shopping.

Along with her parents she was preceded in death by a sister, Susie Mayo, and a brother, George Taft; two stepbrothers, Richard Bradford and J.B. Bradford.

Survivors include her husband of 47 years, Holloway Griffis of Homerville; one sister, Carolyn Smith of Homerville; one daughter and son-in-law, Denise and Mark Smith of Homerville; two stepdaughters and sons-in-law, Denise and Robert Lee of Homerville, and Carla and Cliff King of Clarksville, FL; two stepsons and daughters-in-law, Buddy and Becky Griffis of Fargo, and Stanley and Natalie Griffis of Blountstown, FL; adopted daughter and her husband, Carlene and Genaro Trejo of Blountstown, FL; three grandchildren, Courtney Singletary of Valdosta, Tyler (Chenelle) Stalvey of Homerville, and Darin (Leela) Smith of Abilene, TX; four step grandchildren, Kyla Vinson of Blountstown, FL, Ellis Summerlin, Jr. of Bristol, FL, Ashley Lee of Homerville, and Alexa (Bryan) Dickson of Sneads, Fl; numerous great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

A funeral service will be held Sunday afternoon, June 23, 2024, at 3 pm at the Roundtree Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be held Monday at 2 pm at North Cemetery in DuPont.

The family will receive friends Sunday afternoon beginning at 2 pm at the funeral home.
