Lewis "L.J." Jacob Briley

Homerville, GA   Mr. Lewis Jacob “L.J.” Briley, 69, passed away Sunday, April 22, 2018, at his residence, following an extended illness.   Mr. Briley was born January 8, 1949, in Ocilla, GA, to the late Ellis Alfred Briley and Sarah Hart Briley. He had attended the Shiloh Church and worker for the Fletcher Oil Company. He was a veteran of the U. S. Air Force serving during the Vietnam War and was preceded in death by one brother, Robert Briley.   Survivors are his wife: Mildred Herrin Briley; two daughters and sons-in-law: Rebecca & Andy Latham and Kathy & Mitchell King all of Homerville; four grandchildren: Reese Latham, Laryn Latham, Sarah Stalvey and Jake King; one sister: Sue Chapman-Prattville, AL, several nieces, nephews and other relatives.   Funeral services for Mr. Briley will be held Wednesday, April 25, 2018 at two o’clock from the Chapel of Roundtree Funeral Home.   Interment will be in the Brushy Creek Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery, Ocilla, GA.   The family will receive friends Wednesday, April 25, 2018 from 1 till 2 p.m. at the funeral home.   Sympathy may be expressed by signing the online registry at www.roundtreefuneralhome.net   Roundtree Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
