Leatha Tiner Strickland

Leatha Ann Tiner Strickland, 70, of Argyle passed away Monday, February 15, 2021, at Doctors Hospital in Augusta, GA after a short illness. She was born in Homerville to the late Robert and Gladys Corbitt Tiner and lived in Clinch County most of her life. Mrs. Strickland was a member of Place of Blessings Church of God and was a homemaker. Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph T. Strickland, Jr.; two sisters, Marie Griffis and Naomi Roberts; four brothers, Downing Tiner, Clinton Tiner, Colon Tiner, and Freddie Tiner. Survivors include three sons, Joseph Shannon Strickland (Miranda) of Argyle, Christopher Byron Strickland (Alysia) of Hortense, GA, Zachary Strickland (Lindsay) of Homerville; ten grandchildren, Joseph Shannon Strickland, Jr. (Taylor), Brenlin Strickland, Jacie Cheyenne Strickland, Triston Strickland, Taryn Strickland, Layton Strickland, Adilyn Strickland, Maddox Strickland, Lincoln Strickland, and Mykayla Sailors and; four great-grandchildren, Elijah Strickland, Amelia Strickland, J.T. Strickland III ,and Sawyer Williams; two sisters, Nell White (Jimmy) of Douglas, Alice Altman of Homerville; four brothers, Henry Tiner (Diane) of Homerville, David Tiner of Homerville, Bob Tiner (Carol) Homerville, and Harold Tiner (Erabell) of Lakeland; numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives. The family will receive friends Saturday afternoon from 3 – 5 pm at the funeral home. Memorialization will be by cremation. Sympathy may be expressed online at www.roundtreefuneralhome.com.
