Jonathan "Donnie" Tolle

Jonathan “Donnie” Tolle, 68, of Homerville passed away Sunday, May 14, 2023, at his residence after an extended illness. He was born in Homerville to the late David Tolle and Lucille Truluck Tolle Johnson Johns. Mr. Tolle graduated from Clinch County High School in 1973 and lived here all of his life. He was a self-employed painter and attended Shepherd’s Chapel.

Survivors include two children, Sandie Tolle of Valdosta and Aaron Tolle of Homerville; five grandchildren, Dean Mernagh, Luke Mernagh, Asher Mernagh, Aaron Tolle, Jr. and Christina Tolle; four great-grandchildren; two sisters, Ruth Hubbard of Anniston, Al and Rachel Winkle of Lake Oconee, GA; four brothers, Solomon Tolle (Lanell) of Homerville, John Tolle (Jackie) of Fargo, Sammy Tolle (Patia) of Homerville, Rex “Ricky” Johnson (Rita) of Homerville; numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

A graveside memorial service will be held Sunday, June 25, 2023 at 3 pm at Pine Forest Cemetery. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project, P.O. Box 758516, Topeka, Kansas 66675-8516 or the Samaritan’s Purse, P.O. Box 3000, Boone, NC 28607.
