Joan Elizabeth Hendley

Mrs. Joan Elizabeth Smith Hendley, 66, passed away Monday, October 1, 2018, at her residence, following a short illness.   Mrs. Hendley was born Aug. 2, 1952, in Homerville, GA to the late James Cecil Smith, Sr. and Ethelle Bennett Smith. She was a homemaker and was a member of the Trinity Baptist Church.        Survivors are her husband, John Wayne Hendley; one daughter and son-in-law: Elizabeth & Al Jordan; one son and daughter-in-law: Nathaniel & Melissa Hendley; two grandchildren: Krystin Jordan and Justin Jordan; one brother and sister-in-law: J. C. & Penny Smith; one niece: Kaitlin L. Smith; one nephew: Jacob R. Smith, all of Homerville, and a number other relatives.   Memorial services for Mrs. Hendley will be held Wednesday, October 3, 2018 at three o’clock at the Trinity Baptist Church.   Memorialization will be by cremation.   Sympathy maybe expressed by signing the online registry at www.roundtreefuneralhome.net.   Roundtree Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
