Jefferson "J.D." Davis Delk

  Mr. Jefferson Davis “J.D.” Delk, 83, passed away Saturday, July 6, 2019, at his grandson’s residence in Waycross, following a brief illness.   Mr. Delk was born June 3, 1936, in Homerville to the late William Henry Delk and Nora Kandacy Herrin Delk. He had worked as a self-employed post operator and attended the New Vision Church of God.  He was preceded in death by one son: Jeff Delk; two sisters: Mary Lou Allen and Annie Delk; two brothers: Boss Delk and Man Delk.   Survivors are one son: David Earl Delk, Sr., Columbus; three grandchildren: David Earl Delk, II, Stacey Musgrove and Kelsey Bennett; four great grandchildren: Lawton David Delk, Michael Propes, Payton Musgrove and Carter Grant; one great great grandchild: Rylee Propes; two sisters: Maxine Delk Davis, Homerville and Nora Lee Daniels, Blackshear; a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives.   Graveside services for Mr. Delk will be held Tuesday, July 9, 2019 at eleven o’clock in the Pine Forest Cemetery.   The family will receive friends Monday, July 8, 2019, from 6 till 8 p.m. at the funeral home.   Sympathy maybe expressed by signing the online registry at www.roundtreefuneralhome.net.   Roundtree Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
