Jean Day Stalvey

Gloria Jean Day Stalvey, 72, of Homerville passed away Thursday, July 30, 2026, at Riverbrook Healthcare in Homerville after a short illness. She was born in Homerville to the late Horace and Retha Mae Boyett Day and lived here all of her life. Mrs. Stalvey was a homemaker.

Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Wiley Earl Stalvey, Sr.; two brothers, Jerry “Pee Wee” Day and Robbie Day.

Survivors include two sons, Junior Stalvey of Homerville and Richard (Karen) Stalvey of Pearson; one granddaughter, Brook (Drew) Graddy of DuPont; four great grandchildren, Wiley James Graddy, Suella Jean Graddy, Noah Anderson Graddy, and Alleigh Michelle Graddy; two brothers, Ray (Eldoris) Day of Homerville and Larry (Elaine) Day of Darien; two sisters, Brenda Griffis of Homerville and Betty (Dorel) Hainley of Naylor; two sisters-in-law, Mary Day of Homerville and Maria (Virgil) Palmer of Homerville; several nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

A memorial service will be held Sunday afternoon, August 2, 2026, at 3 pm at Roundtree Funeral Home Chapel.

The family will receive friends Sunday afternoon from 2 pm until 3 pm at the funeral home.
