James "Jim" Gordon Moody

Mr. James Gordon “Jim” Moody passed away, Wednesday, August 29, 2018, in Lakeland, Georgia following a brief illness.

Mr. Moody was born July 17, 1956, in Homerville, GA to the late James Young Moody and Gayle Gunter Moody Smith.  Mr. Moody was retired. He was a member of Shiloh Church.

Survivors are wife, Marie Walker Moody: one daughter: Lauren Moody: stepson John (Kim) Smith, four sisters: Kim Lee, Laura Lee Smith, Shelly Felder and Bobbie Gail Odom all of Homerville, GA; one brother Michael James Moody, Michigan: Grandchildren: Brittany Smith, Macie Smith, Harley Smith, Layla Mials, Ava Mials, Norah Mials and Trista Mials and one great grandchild Aubrey Smith and a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Funeral services for Mr. Moody will be held on Saturday, September 1, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at Shiloh Church, Homerville, GA.

Interment will be in the Pine Forest Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Saturday, September 1, 2018 from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. at Shiloh Church.
