Iva Elaine Moore

Iva Elaine Guthrie Moore, 81, of Homerville passed away Thursday evening, October 5, 2023, at Coffee Regional Medical Center after a short illness. She was born in Atkinson County to the late Henry and Kathleen Guthrie and lived in Homerville most of her life. Mrs. Moore loved being raised in Willacoochee and especially loved raising her children.

Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Aaron Moore; one son, Ray Smith; one brother, Jimmy Guthrie.

Survivors include sons, Herschel Smith and his Missy of Homerville, Henry Smith of Homerville, Martin Smith and his wife Kim of Homerville, and Aaron Tomlinson of Lenox; one step-daughter: Lana Beth (William) Laytyon, Meigs, GA; one step-son: Danny (Petra) Moore, Douglas; ten grandchildren, Benji (Marie) Smith, Brad (Robbie) Smith, Tia (Terrence) George, Tyler Smith, Tyron Smith, Martin, Smith Jr., Brian Smith, Gage Tomlinson, Aaron Tomlinson, and Kaya Forrestal; thirteen great grandchildren, Christian, Marley, Dustilynn, Libbiann, Jasper, Braylee, Annalee, Avery, Ansley, Carlei, Kylan, Daiden, and Annagrace; three sisters, Jenelle Taft, Pearson, Henrietta Mobley, Brunswick, and Sandra Kay Tucker, Fitzgerald; several nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

Graveside services for Mrs. Moore will be held Monday, Oct. 9, 2023, at eleven o'clock in the Shiloh Cemetery.
