Henry Horace Hendrix, 87, of Homerville passed away Thursday morning, August 13, 2026, at his residence after an extended illness. He was born in Homerville to the late Farley and Lottie Mae Pittman Hendrix. Mr. Hendrix lived in Homerville all of his life where he owned and operated Hendrix Bees. He attended New Vision Church of God and enjoyed hunting when his children were growing up and always like to fish.
Along with his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Shelby Jean Delk Hendrix; five brothers, Sammie Hendricks, Huey Hendrix, Lois Hendrix, Robert Hendrix, and Sherman Hendrix; three sisters, Dollie Mae Murphy, Verdie Walker, and Doris Peek.
Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Karen and Joey McConnell of Hahira; two sons and daughters-in-law, Keith and Janessa Hendrix and Eric and Stacie Hendrix all of Homerville; six grandchildren, Erica Moore (Ryan), Layton Hendrix, Jodie McConnell, Aryn McConnell, Keaton Hendrix, and Kelby Hendrix; two great-grandchildren, Brickston Moore and Bailey Moore; one brother, Hubert Hendrix (Bronna) of Homerville; one sister, Maybell Harper of Oneida , FL; numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
A graveside service will be held Monday morning, August 17, 2026, at 10 am at Shiloh Cemetery with Rev. Jerry Baldree and Rev. David Vanoy officiating.
The family will receive friends Sunday evening from 6 pm until 8 pm at Roundtree Funeral Home.
