George Howard Beckham

June 20, 1960 — July 21, 2021

George Howard Beckham, Jr., 61, of Valdosta passed away Wednesday evening (July 21, 2021) at Langdale Hospice House. He was born in Homerville to the late George H. Beckham, Sr. and Zelphia Howling Beckham. Mr. Beckham was the co-owner of G & G Tree Service for many years.

Along with his parents he was preceded in death by an infant sister, Marion Beckham and an infant brother, Danny Beckham.

Survivors include one son, George Beckham, III of Valdosta; his long time love, Bonnie Nix of Valdosta; adopted son, Brent Player of Jacksonville, FL; four grandsons, Kolby Ryan Beckham, George H. Beckham, IV, Caleb Michael Sefers, and Madden Bennett; two sisters, Alice Beverley (husband James) of Homerville, Fannie Weldon (husband Randy) of Valdosta; one brother, Elvis Beckham (wife Doretta) of Valdosta; two aunts, Marshie Baker of Waycross and Annie Ruth Roberts of Valdosta; several nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

A funeral service will be held Saturday morning at 11 am at the Chapel of Roundtree Funeral Home. Burial will be in Pine Forest Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Saturday morning beginning at 10 am at the funeral home.
