Elizabeth Findlay Stewart

Elizabeth Scott Findlay Stewart, 80, of Waycross formerly of Homerville passed away Friday, May 12, 2023, at Harborview Satilla in Waycross after a short illness. She was born in Birmingham, AL to the late Charlie and Katherine Scott Findlay. She graduated from Sylvan High School in Atlanta and lived most of her life in Atlanta. She attended Bethesdea House of Mercy in Waycross and always loved to paint.

Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Jim M. Stewart, Jr.; one son, Robert Crumbley; one brother, Michael Findlay; one stepdaughter, Gail Martin.

Survivors include one daughter, Mellisa Jewell of Waycross; one son and daughter-in-law, John and Diane Crumbley of Jefferson, GA; five grandchildren, Brittany Young (James Owings) of Hazelhurst, Ashleigh Gentry and David Jewell, Jr. both of Waycross, Mattie Crumbley and Elliot Crumbley both of Jefferson, GA; ten great-grandchildren; one sister, Jane Barber of Porterdale, GA; two step-children, Debbie Stewart of Waycross, Jim and Debra Stewart, III of Richmond Hill, GA; several nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, June 24, 2023, at 12 pm Laura Walker State Park, Picnic Shelter #6 in Waycross.
