Mrs. Eddie Kay Christopher Green, 82, passed away Friday, January 9, 2026 in the HCA Florida Memorial Hospital, Jacksonville, FL, following a brief illness.
Mrs. Green was born, February 11, 1943, in Hinesville, GA to the late Robert Edgar “Ed” Christopher and Sarah Irene Kight Christopher. She had lived in Clinch County most of her life and graduated from Clinch County High School in 1962. She had worked for many years at Young’s 5 &10 Store and for Mrs. Wildes at the Fashion Shop. She had also worked at the First Baptist Church Kindergarden, where she was a member. She loved to crochet, sit on the back porch and watch the birds. She was a cheerful and happy person who was friendly to everybody.
She was preceded in death by her parents and twin children.
Survivors are her husband: Jasper Curtis Green, Jr., Homerville; a son: Daniel Evan Fann, Jr. (Danielle) Homerville; three sisters: Hilda Christopher Stewart Abell (Leonard), Americus, Mary West (Johnny), Lagrange, Betty Sue Martin (Wayne) Dudley, GA; three grandchildren: Mallory Danielle Fann, Rebecca Guess (Ethan) and Lee Williams (Kearson); two great grandchildren: Jed Guess and Brody Williams, several nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Graveside services for Mrs. Green will be held, Monday, Jan. 12, 2026, at three o'clock, in the Pine Forest Cemetery, Homerville, with the Rev. Paul Fulton officiating.
The family will receive friends after the graveside service in the cemetery.
