Ed Bennett

Cliff Edward Bennett, 56, of Homerville passed away Tuesday, August 13, 2024 at UF Shands in Gainesville, FL after an extended illness. He was born in Clinch County to the late Cliff and Jacqueline Louise Holmes Bennett and lived here all of his life. Mr. Bennett was a 1986 graduate of Clinch County High School. He was an avid Georgia Football fan and always enjoyed anything with sports. Mr. Bennett loved listening to music, especially Prince. Most of all, he loved doing crafts and spending time with his family.

Along with his parents he was preceded in death by his father-in-law, Ronnie Spradley; step father-in-law, Doug Mullis; two sisters-in-law, Maranda Mullis and Terra Spradley; brother-in-law, Robin Turner.

Survivors include his wife, Janet Spradley Bennett; two children, Zackary Bennett and Heather Bennett all of Homerville; mother-in-law, Marie Mullis of Axson; brother-in-law, Mark Spradley (wife Elizabeth) of Axson; three sisters-in-law, Lisa Fales (husband Larry) of Axson; Hope Carver (husband Mel) of Tifton, and Tamara Turner of Waycross; step mother-in-law, Phyllis Spradley of Hoboken; one niece, several nephews, great nephews, and other relatives.

A funeral service will be held Friday morning, August 16, 2024, at 11 am at Shiloh Church with Brother Damon Chauncey officiating. Burial will follow in Shiloh Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 6 until 8 pm at the funeral home.
