Dell Lee Bennett, 56, of Argyle passed away Monday, June 8, 2026, at UF Health Hospital in Jacksonville. He was born in Homerville to the late Dell Terry Bennett and Maryann Minshew Pittman and lived in Argyle all his life. Lee was often described as a caring man who would give you the shirt off his back and was a hard worker. He was a die-hard Ford man. He worked for many people doing whatever you needed but mostly for Kennedy Timber, where he became good friends with Tom Kennedy. He also worked with James Landrum and became good friends with him.

Along with his parents he was preceded in death by one nephew, James Corbin Bennett.

He is survived by the love of his life for 28 years, Amanda Bennett; his daughters, Lauren Beverley (Willie) of Homerville, Kinsee Reliford (Lonnie) of Homerville, and Alicia Rigdon of Jesup, GA; two brothers, Lewis Bennett (Betty Ann) and San King (Paige) both of Argyle, one sister, Elizabeth Bell of Broxton; step son, Brandon Curry (Sara) and special family friend, Chelsea Conners; grandchildren, Hali Rigdon, Lara Rigdon, Gabe Rigdon, Brantley Rigdon, Pyper Reliford, Lilly Reliford, Jacob Reliford, Isaiah Reliford, Kauge Curry, Kanon Curry, and Daisy Mae Curry; nieces and nephews, Edward Bennett (Gracie), Nathan Bennett, Eliza Harper, Layla Bell, Kaigen and Kace King, Brylee Graddy; uncle, Willis Bennett (Patsy); cousins, Don Minshew (Penny), Hugh Bennett (Cheryl), and Kathy Yawn (Mike); special friends, Kenneth Infinger, Shine Beecher (Melissa), Jeremy Thomas (Cassandra), and Tommy Harrison; and a host of friends.

A graveside service will be held Friday morning, June 12, 2026, at 11 am at Pine Forest Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Friday morning from 10 am until 11 am at the cemetery.
