Debra Irene Newbern

Ms. Debra Irene Newbern, 61, passed away Saturday, May 11, 2019, at her residence, following an extended illness.   Ms. Newbern was born December 27, 1957, in Homerville, GA to the late Oscar Newbern and Verdie Mae Herrin Davis. She had worked at Jimbo’s as a waitress and was a member of the Lovejoy Community Church. She was preceded in death by two sisters: Dottie Bagley and Denise Newbern.   Survivors are one son: Robert D. Newbern; two sisters: Darlene Newbern and Stephanie Hill; two brothers: Johnny Oscar Newbern and Albert Davis, Jr.; her step-father: Albert Davis, Sr., all of Homerville; a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives.   Funeral services for Ms. Newbern will be held Wednesday, May 15, 2019 at two o’clock in the Chapel of Roundtree Funeral Home.   Interment will be in the Pine Forest Cemetery.   The family will receive friends Tuesday, May 14, 2019, from 6 till 8 p.m. at the funeral home.   Sympathy maybe expressed by signing the online registry at www.roundtreefuneralhome.net.   Roundtree Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
