David Alan Harrell

Mr. David Alan Harrell, 67, tragically died on July 21, 2026, leaving behind family that loved him deeply. He was known for his sense of humor and loving nature, always willing to help others, even if it meant giving the shirt off his back. His passions included caring for his cats, camping, sharing beers with his brother, and spending quality time with family, If you knew him: he was one of a kind, Though we feel sadness, we also celebrate the good life he led. Rest peacefully David. We love you and will miss you.

David was born to the late J.H. Harrell and Mary Helen Steedley Harrell and lived in New Market, Alabama, North Florida and South Georgia. He had nine siblings three preceded him in death, brother, Dennis Wayne Sweat, sisters, Patricia Ann Ratliff and Sandy Lynn Jewell.

Surviving include his sibling’s, four sisters, Rita Touchton, New Market Alabama, Donna Graddy, Waynesville, GA. Laura Mixon, Waycross, GA, Kandi Wynn Herbert, Winnie, TX, two brothers: Bucky (Michelle) Harrell, Waynesville, GA, Lewis (Harriet) Mixon, Waycross, GA, several nieces and nephews that loved spending time with Uncle David.

A celebration of life service will be held, Saturday, Aug 15, 2026, at 2 pm at the chapel of Roundtree Funeral Home.
