Buster Barnes

Marvin Owen “Buster” Barnes, 58, of Pearson passed away Tuesday morning (Sept. 14, 2021) at South Georgia Medical Center after a short illness. He was born in Lanier County and lived in Pearson most of his life. Mr. Barnes always enjoyed hunting arrowheads.

Survivors include his daughter, Tracey Harrell and her husband Mike of Axson; four grandchildren, Trinaty Nelson, Kendall Muncey, Karley Muncey, and Hazel Muncey; his parents, Lucious and Mary Louise Thompson Barnes; one sister, Kay Mayes of Pearson; two brothers, Jimmy Barnes of Pearson and Timothy Barnes of Hawkinsville, GA; several nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
