Bobby Gene Finch

Mr. Bobby Gene Finch, 66, passed away Thursday, June 4, 2020, in the South Georgia Medical Center, Valdosta, following a short illness.

Mr. Finch was born, March 11, 1954, in Homerville, GA to the late Lawrence A. “Barney” Finch and Juanita Jernigan Finch. He was retired from Smurfit Company and attended the Lang Country Church. He was preceded in death by his wife: Rudine Martin Finch; and his son: Terry Finch.

Survivors are one daughter and son-in-law: Ronda & Tripp Stripling, Douglas; best friend: Kandy J. Mixon, Argyle; four sisters and brothers-in-law: Bobbie Nell & Felton Roundtree, Homerville, Betty Jo Griffis, Rio Rancho, NM, Belinda & Leslie Bateson and Barbara & George Thibideau, both of Homerville; three brothers and sisters-in-law: Barney & Joy Finch, Jr., Lakeland, Billy & Kathy Finch and Benny Finch, both of Homerville; four grandchildren: Kaitlyn Wetherington, Dalton & Kimberlee Wetherington, Tess Stripling and Toby Stripling; several nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Funeral services for Mr. Finch will be held Sunday, June 7, 2020 at three o’clock at the New Vision Church of God. Due to Covid-19 regulations, all attendees are asked to wear a mask during the service.

Interment will be in the Pine Forest Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the home of Belinda & Leslie Bateson, 840 Jesse Steedley Road, Homerville, GA and on Saturday, June 6, 2020 from six till eight p.m. at the funeral home. Mr. Finch will be carried to the church one prior to the services.
