Homerville

Betty Sue McCraw Thomas, 77, of Homerville passed away Tuesday, June 4, 2024, at her residence after an extended illness. She was born in Sheffield, AL to the late Leborn H. McCraw and Carleen Johnson Griffis. Mrs. Thomas lived in Homerville most of her life and was a homemaker. She always enjoyed watching Westerns and especially reading books.

Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Thomas; three sisters, Dorothy Back, Patricia McCraw, and Barbara Delk.

Survivors include three children, Raymond Platt (wife Missie) of Rutherfordton, NC, Elizabeth Henderson (husband Carl) of Homerville, and Franklin Thomas (wife April) of Homerville; a nephew that was like a son, Jimbo Vickers (wife Mallory) of Clyattville, GA; sixteen grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; one sister, Linda DuBose of Hamilton, AL; several nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

A graveside service will be held Friday morning, June 7, 2024, at 11 am at North Cemetery in DuPont.

The family will receive friends Friday morning from 9:30 am til 10:30 am at the funeral home.
