Betty Ruth Smith

Mrs. Betty Ruth Smith, 89, passed away Saturday, June 27, 2020, in the River Brook Health Care, following an extended illness. Mrs. Smith was born, July 10, 1930, in Homerville to the late Lonnie Dock Smith and Maggie Aline Smith. She was a member of the New Vision Church of God and had worked at Minson’s Department Store as a clerk for many years. She was preceded in death by her brother: Aaron K. Smith. Survivors are her husband: Terry Smith, Homerville; one sister: Annie Lounette “Teen-Ince” Shirley, Homerville; one brother: Sunkey Smith, Homerville; several nieces, nephews and a number of other relatives. Graveside services for Mrs. Smith will be held Tuesday, June 30, 2020 at two o’clock in the Pine Forest Cemetery The family will receive friends Tuesday, June 30, 2020 from 1 till 2 p.m. at the cemetery.
