Betty Royals

Betty Carolyn Arnold Royals, 83, of DuPont passed away Wednesday, August 21, 2024, at South Georgia Medical Center after a short illness. She was born in Homerville to the late Willie Arnold and Willie Mae Gurley Arnold. Mrs. Royals lived here most of her life where she worked at Clinch Memorial Hospital as a Nurses Aid for thirty years. She was a member of DuPont Baptist Church and enjoyed keeping the house and yards clean and being with family.

Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, James Edward Royals; great granddaughter, Chasity Stephens; one brother, Bennie Arnold.

Survivors include three sons, Hank Royals, Willie James Royals, and Franklin Edward Royals all of DuPont; two grandchildren, Betty Carolyn Royals and Jonathan Royals; five great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.

A funeral service will be held Saturday morning, August 24, 2024, at 11 am at the Roundtree Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in North Cemetery in DuPont. 

The family will receive friends Saturday morning beginning at 10 am at the funeral home.
