Barbara Jean Van Nus

Mrs. Barbara Jean Maxwell Van Nus, 88, passed away Tuesday, May 5, 2020, in the River Brook Health Care, Homerville, GA, following an extended illness. Mrs. Van Nus was born November 20, 1931, in Bushnell, FL to the late Aubrey Eddy and Ethel Pierce Maxwell. She was a member of the Shiloh Church and was a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her husband: Walter Jack Van Nus and one sister. Survivors are: one daughter: Karen Dixon, Homerville; three sons and a daughter-in-law: Keith & Eileen Van Nus, Lawrenceville, GA, Kenneth Van Nus, Patterson, GA and Kevin Van Nus, Winder, GA; fourteen grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren and a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives. A celebration of life for Mrs. Van Nus will be held Saturday May 9, 2020 from one till three o’clock at the home of Karen Dixon, 298 Woodlake Drive, Homerville, GA. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to Shiloh Church, 3794 Shiloh Highway, Homerville, GA 31634, for Samaritan’s Purse.
