Amanda Newbern

Amanda Lynn Reliford Newbern, 33, of Homerville passed away Monday morning (October 4, 2021) at her residence after an extended illness. She was born in Coffee County and worked at Jimbo’s Log Kitchen in Homerville for many years. Mrs. Newbern enjoyed drawing, coloring, fishing, riding with her husband, going to the beach and especially being with her husband and kids.

She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Johnny Andrew and Shirley Douglas; paternal grandparents, Clarence and Willie Mae Reliford; her papa, Gene Bullock; mother-in-law, Mary Newbern.

Survivors include her husband of 16 years, Johnny Eugene Newbern of Homerville; four children, Joshua Aaron Newbern, Kurt Andrew Newbern, Johnny Leo Newbern, and Emalee Rose Newbern; her father, Bennie Reliford, Pearson; her mother, Connie Douglas Reliford, Arizona; two sisters, Melissa Reliford of Douglas, and Misty Reliford of Pearson; three brothers, Ben Reliford (Donna) of Pearson, Bennie Carol Reliford (Megan) of Douglas, Moses Reliford (Aggie) of Manor; special aunt and uncle, Albert, Jr. and Rosemary Davis of Homerville, a cousin that is like a brother, Bobby Joe Stone (Crystal) of Homerville; father-in-law, Johnny Oscar Newbern of Homerville; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

A graveside service will be held Tuesday afternoon at 3 pm at Pine Forest Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 2 – 2:45 pm at the funeral home.
