Manor, GA. Mr. Carey Duncan Carmichael, Sr., 64, passed away Friday, September 17, 2010, at his residence, surrounded by his loving family. Mr. Carmichael was born October 18, 1946 in Clinch County, to the late Eugene Bradford Carmichael and Iva Lee James Carmichael. He was a member of the New Prospect United Methodist Church and was an air conditioner/refrigerator repairman and worked at Voith Paper Fabrics as a machinist & mechanic. He preceded in death by one brother, Gene Carmichael. Survivors are his wife: Janice Lee Carmichael, Manor; two sons, Carey Duncan Carmichael, Jr., Lake city, FL and John Kevin Carmichael, Manor; a special niece, Sandra Lee Aldridge, Waycross; a special nephew: Timothy Truman Lee, Waycross; two brothers and sisters-in-law: Joseph Daniel & Shirel Carmichael, Sr. and James Allen & Jamie Carmichael, Sr., all of Manor; his mother-in-law, Odelle Lee, Manor, brother-in-law: Donald Lee, Homerville; two sisters-in-law, Eleanor Carmichael, Manor and Martha Lee Spivey, Pearson: two special pets: Annie & Archie and a number of other relatives. Services for Mr. Carmichael will be held Sunday, Sept. 19, 2010 at three thirty from the Victory Methodist Church, Manor. Internment will be in the New Prospect Methodist Church Cemetery. Family and Friends of the Voith Paper Products are asked to be honorary pallbearers and meet at the church at 3:00 pm. The family will receive friends Saturday, September 18, 2010, from 7 till 9 p.m. at the funeral home. Mr. Carmichael will be carried to the church one hour prior to the services. Flowers will be accepted or donations may be made to Hospice Satilla, 1906 Tebeau Street, Waycross, GA 31501. Roundtree Funeral Home is serving the Carmichael Family.
