Dennis Darrell Smith

Mr. Dennis Darrell Smith, 48, passed away Tuesday, Aug. 24, 2010, in the Clinch Memorial Hospital following a short illness. Mr. Smith was a lifelong resident of Clinch County and was a retired self-employed carpenter. Survivors two daughters, Mary A. Smith & special friend, Justin McDonald, Homerville and Barbara L Mercer and husband Timothy Mercer, Sr. Cairo, GA; his father and mother; Claude Franklyn Smith and Leola Davis Smith, Homerville; one sister: Nita Smith, Homerville; three brothers, Frank Smith, Lonnie “Rob” Smith and Myron “Reesy” Smith all of Homerville; four grandchildren; Cassie Mercer, Barbara Ann Mercer, John Mercer and Timothy Mercer, Jr., all of Cairo, GA; a number of nieces and nephews and other relatives. Services for Mr. Smith will be held Friday, Aug. 27, 2010, at Two o’clock from the Chapel of Roundtree Funeral Home. Internment will be in the Pine Forest Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday night from 6 till 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
