Minnie Dell Hood

Mrs. Minnie Dell Balance Hood, 70, passed away Friday, July 2, 2010, at her residence following a brief illness. Mrs. Hood was born December 5, 1939, in Atkinson County, to the late Charlie Ballance and Queen Branch Bennett. She was a nurse’s aid for Clinch Health care before her retirement. Mrs. Hood was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Hood, two sons, Paul Ronnie Hood and Cydee Junior Hood, two sisters, Cora Bell Bennifield and Bonnie Nell Davis and one brother, John Branch. Survivors are two daughters: Vickie Taft and Judy Kent & Calven Van Wagner, all of Homerville; one sister: Mauldie Lee Anderson, Gainesville, FL; four grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, a special friend, James Giberth, Homerville and several other relatives. Services for Mrs. Hood will be held Monday, July 5, 2010, at eleven o’clock from the chapel of Roundtree Funeral Home. Interment will be in the Sunnyside Cemetery, Kirkland, GA. The family will receive friends Sunday, July 4, 2010 from 6 till 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Roundtree Funeral Home is serving the Hood Family.
