James "Ricky" Richard Douglas, Sr.

Mr. James Richard “Ricky” Douglas, Sr., 59, passed away June 14, 2010, at his residence following a short illness. Mr. Douglas was born in Clinch County, July 13, 1950, to the late Willie Devoy Douglas and Virginia Ruth Joyce Douglas. He was a self-employed carpenter and was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving during the Vietnam War. Survivors are: One daughter and son-in-law: Tina & Ryan Daniel, Homerville, GA Four sons: James Richard “Doug” Douglas, Jr., Homerville, GA, Chad Douglas, Homerville, GA, Brad Douglas, Jesup, & companion, Telena Mills, Homerville, GA, Jamie Fountain, Savannah, GA, Sister and brother-in-law: Sharon & George Hollis, Raleigh, NC, Brother and sister-in-law: Bill & Drenee Douglas, Homerville, GA, Eight Grandchildren: Samantha Douglas, Brad Lee Douglas, Jason Douglas, Dana Douglas, Jessie Rankhorn, Sage Douglas, Madison Douglas and Grayson Daniel. Special friend: Cindy Nelson, Homerville, GA and several other relatives. Services for Mr. Douglas will be held Thursday, June 17, 2010, at eleven o’clock from the Homerville Congregational Methodist Church Interment will be in the Pine Forest Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday, June 16, 2010 from 7 till 9 p.m. at the funeral home. Roundtree Funeral Home is serving the Douglas Family.
