Lonnie Wayne Smith

Homerville, GA Mr. Lonnie Wayne Smith, 61, passed away, Tuesday, June 1, 2010, at his residence surrounded by his loving and devoted family. Mr. Smith was born September 14, 1948, in Clinch County to the late Lonnie Smith and Mary Cribbs Smith. He was a self-employed contractor and was a member of the Fruitland Church of God. Survivors are his wife; Deborah Booth Smith, Homerville, GA: four daughters and sons-in-law; Angela & Randall Beverly, Manor, GA, Annette Smith, Jennifer & David Johnson and Michelle Smith all of Homerville, GA: three sons and daughters-in-law; Kenneth & Tina Smith, Manor, GA, Dewayne & Samajun Smith and Michael & Amy Murray all of Homerville, GA: four sisters; Annie Smith (his special sister who raised him), L. B. Harden & Betty Stripling, all of Albany, GA and Leola Buffbee, West Palm Beach, FL: two brothers, Gary Smith, Waycross, GA and Raymond Brantley, Orange Park, FL: eighteen grandchildren, four great grandchildren and several other relatives. Services for Mr. Smith will be held, Thursday, June 3, 2010 at two o’clock from the New Vision Church of God. Interment will be in the Pine Forest Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 6 till 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Mr. Smith will be carried to the church one hour prior to the services.
