Vivian Laverne Strickland

Homerville, GA Mrs. Vivian Laverne Strickland, 74, passed away Saturday, May 8, 2010 in the Louis Smith Memorial Hospital, Lakeland, GA, following an extended illness. Mrs. Strickland was born March 10, 1936 in Coffee County, GA to the late James W. Strickland and Zell Morgan Strickland. She was a homemaker and attended the New Vision Church of God. She was preceded in death by two sons, Kenneth Davis and John Davis. Survivors are four daughters and a son-in-law: Linda and Wayne Delk and Judy Swearington, all of Homerville, Bonnie Morland, Canada and Crissy Davis, Innerlocking, FL, one sister: Peggy Holt, Texas; twelve grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and several other relatives. Funeral services for Mrs. Strickland will be held Tuesday, May 11, 2010 at eleven o’clock from the New Vision Church of God. Interment will be in the Pine Forest Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday night at the funeral home from 7 til 9 p.m. Mrs. Strickland will be carried to the church one hour prior to the services.
