Homerville, GA Mrs. Katherine Florine Brantley Gordy, 68, passed away Wednesday, February 24, 2010, at Clinch Memorial Hospital. Mrs. Gordy was born February 4, 1941, in Arcadia, FL, to the late Woodrow Brantley & Katie Sutton Holloway. She was employed by Desoto Memorial Hospital as a CNA and a member of the First Baptist Church, Ft Ogden, FL. Mrs. Gordy was preceded by her husband: George Gordy. Survivors are three daughters & sons-in-laws: Kathy (Wayne Dodd, of Arcadia, FL, Sandy (David) Kilgore, of Lakeland, FL, & Debbie Rachel (& close friend, Bennie Finch), of Homerville; a son & daughter-in-law: Tiger (Linda) Tew, of Homerville; three brothers & sisters-in-law: Mr. & Mrs. Sam Brantley, Mr. & Mrs. Jimmy Brantley, and Mr. & Mrs. Steve Brantley; eleven grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; & other relatives. Services for Mrs. Gordy will be held Friday, February 26, 2010, at four o'clock from Roundtree Funeral Home Chapel. Internment will be in the Joshua Creek Cemetery, Arcadia, FL. The family will receive friends from the Roundtree Funeral Home, Thursday evening, February 25, 2010, from 6 til 8pm.
