Billy "Hawk" Holcombe

Fargo, GA Mr. Billy “Hawk” Holcombe, 62, passed away Wednesday, March 14, 2018, in the Clinch Memorial Hospital, Homerville, following a short illness. Mr. Holcombe was born September 19, 1955, in Homerville, GA, to the late Walter Holcombe and Martha Mercer Holcombe. He had worked for Suwannee Forest Timber Products as a truck driver and attended the Fargo Evangelistic Church. He was preceded in death by wife, Barbara Jean Wilson Holcombe on Dec. 28, 2017, and two sisters: Mary Jane Crawford and Louelle Raynes. Survivors are three daughters and sons-in-law: Billie Jean “B.J.” & Jason Gilbreth, Fargo, Tracy & Roy Fender, Valdosta and Casey & Kelly Pittman, Homerville; two brothers ans sister-in-law: Walter & Janice Holcombe, Lakeland, GA and Charles Holcombe, Frankleton, LA; eleven grandchildren; two special cousins: Leonard Pittman and Allen Pittman; special friend, John "Bunk" Wheeler; and several other relatives. Funeral services for Mr. Holcombe will be held Saturday, March 17, 2018 at two o’clock from the Fargo Evangelistic Church. Interment will be in the Fargo Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday, March 16, 2018 from 6 till 8 p.m. at the church.
