James Marshell "Jimmy" Stalvey, Jr.

Homerville, GA Mr. James Marshell “Jimmy” Stalvey, Jr., 64, passed away Monday, October 19, 2009, at the Specialty Hospital, of Jacksonville, FL. Mr. Stalvey was born November 9, 1944, in Clinch County, to the late Willie Marshall Stalvey & Vida Pearl S. Stalvey. He was a self-employed Post Truck Driver and a member of the Lighthouse Assembly of God. Mr. Stalvey was preceded in death by three brothers: Earl Stalvey, Louis Stalvey, & Richard Stalvey. Survivors are his wife: Mary Stalvey, of Homerville; three daughters & a son-in-law: Renee Futch, of Martinez, Ga, Chastity & Peanut Johns and April Norris, all of Homerville; five sons: Jay Stalvey, of Alma, Ritchie Stalvey, of Waycross, Brock Stalvey, of Nashville, TN, Chad Griner, of Jacksonville, FL, Jackson Stalvey, of Homerville; four sisters & brothers-in-law: Patsy & Ervin Stone, of Pearson, Margarette Anette & Tom Reedy, Willie Jean Worthington, and Marsha Stabler, all of Homerville; three brothers & sisters-in-law: William “Buddy” Stalvey, of Jacksonville; David & Paulette Stalvey, of Homerville, Randy & Pat Stalvey, of Lakeland, Ga; eleven grandchildren; special friends: Loven Strickland & Sue Graddy; & several other relatives. Services for Mr. Stalvey will be held Friday, October 23, 2009, at two o'clock from the Lighthouse Assembly of God. Internment will be in the Ramah Cemetery. The family will receive friends from the Lighthouse Assembly of God, Thursday, October 22, 2009, from 7 til 9pm. Mr. Stalvey will be carried to the church one hour prior to services. Roundtree Funeral Home served the Stalvey Family.
