L. C. Morris

Homerville, GA Mr. L. C. “Skeeter” Morris, 60, passed away, Saturday, October 17, 2009, in the Clinch Memorial Hospital. Mr. Morris was born, August 30, 1949, in Pierce County to the late Flem Morris and Bessie Durance Floyd Morris. He was a crane operator for Steel Progress in Waycross. He was the widower of Betty Lou Leggett Morris. He was preceded in death by two brothers, John “Jr.” Morris and Lee “Jr.” Williams Survivors are five daughters and sons-in-law; Tammy Payton, Ohio, Marsha & Bernie Nelson and Tiffany Nelson, all of Homerville, Tracy & John Hamilton, Folkston, GA and Robin & Bo Welch, Moultrie: one son, Bryan Nelson, Homerville: four sisters; Mary Brannen, Hazlehurst, Molly Horton, & Dorothy Nell Beacher, both of Baxley, and Ethelee Thornton, Jesup; thirteen grandchildren, two great grand children, a special cousin, Wanell Parker, Alma and several other relatives. Services for Mr. Morris will be Tuesday, October 20, 2009 at two o’clock from the chapel of Roundtree Funeral Home. Interment will be in the Greenlawn Cemetery, Waycross. The family will receive friends Monday from 6 til 8 at the funeral home. Roundtree Funeral Home is serving the Morris Family.
