Homerville, GA Mrs. Jessie Mae Corbitt Morris, 93, passed away Monday, August 10, 2009, at her residence. Mrs. Morris was born December 18, 1915, in Clinch County, to the late James Daniel Corbitt & Fannie Bell Steedley Corbitt. She was employed by B-Way Corp. for 20 years, where she worked as a Machine Operator. She was a member of the Homerville United Methodist Church, and the Georgia Hargraves Circle. Mrs. Morris is preceded in death by her husband: Redmond Manley Morris; a son: Leon Morris; two sisters: Wilma Steedley & Martha Jane Flemming; six brothers: Randall Corbitt, Milton Corbitt, Horace Corbitt, Talmadge Corbitt, David Corbitt, & L.E. Corbitt. Survivors are a daughter: Annette Mayes, of Homerville; a son & daughter-in-law: Willard & Connie Morris, of Homerville; a sister & brother-in-law: Era Belle & Harold Tiner, of Homerville; two brothers & sisters-in-law: Herman & Mary Corbitt, of Homerville & Bruce & Wilma Corbitt, of Jacksonville Beach, FL; six grandchildren: Wayne Mayes, James Mayes, Keith Morris, Kim Morris, Sonny Morris, & Michelle Kidd; several great-grandchildren & other relatives. Services for Mrs. Morris will be held Thursday, August 13, 2009, at two o’clock, at the Homerville United Methodist Church. Internment will be in the Arabia Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from the Roundtree Funeral Home, Wednesday, August 12, 2009, from 7 til 9. Mrs. Morris will be carried to the church one hour prior to services. Flowers are accepted & donations may be made to the Grace Hospice, 410 Coward Ave., Valdosta, GA 31601 Roundtree Funeral Home is serving the Morris family.
