Raylee Jane Metts

Manor, GA Miss Raylee Jane Metts, 6, passed away, Thursday, October 13, 2016, at her residence, surrounded by her loving family, following an extensive battle with cancer. Miss Metts was born November 24, 2009, in Savannah, Georgia. She was a student of the First Grade at Ruskin Elementary School. She was a member of the Zenith Baptist Church, the Kings Kids and the Awanas. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather: Reid Vollenweider, maternal great grandparents: Vivian Lloyd & Angus Freeman and Burton Herrin; paternal great grandparents: Clenton & Cassie Metts. Survivors are her father and mother: Ray and Haylee Metts, Manor; brother: Kreek Metts, Manor; maternal grandparent: Sharon Vollenweider, Manor; paternal grandparents: Lisa & Melvin Shrewsbury, Troutman, NC and Wayne & Betrinda Metts, Homerville, GA; paternal great grandparents: Shelby & Shirley Metts, Homerville; maternal great grandfather: Walter Vollenweider, Waycross; a number of aunts, uncles, and other relatives. Funeral services for Miss Metts will be held Monday, October 17, 2016, at two p.m. at the Zenith Baptist Church. Interment will be in the Antioch Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday, Oct. 16, 2016, from 6 to 8 at the Zenith Baptist Church. Miss Metts will be carried to the church one hour prior to the services.
