Lori Jill Short Burkett

Homerville, Ga Mrs. Lori Jill Short Burkett, 38, passed away Wednesday, July 1, 2009, at the Clinch Memorial Hospital. Mrs. Burkett was born July 5, 1970, in Azores, Portugal, to Clyde Short & Janice Crosby Short, of Lake Park, GA. She was a homemaker & a member of the Gateway Baptist Church, of Valdosta, GA. Mrs. Burkett was preceded in death by one sister: Joni Lynn Futrell. Survivors are her husband Gregory A. Burkett, of Homerville; two daughters: Hanna Noel Burkett & Rebecca Grace Burkett, of Homerville; one son: Jacob Alan Burkett, of Homerville; one sister: Juli Rene Mobley, of Ocilla, GA; one brother: Jeffery Neil Short, of Lake Park, GA; her Father-in-law & Mother-in-law: Roy & Sara Burkett, of Homerville; and several other relatives. Services for Mrs. Burkett will be held Saturday, July 4, 2009, at eleven o’clock, at the Shiloh Southern Congregational Methodist Church. Internment will be in the Shiloh Southern Congregational Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from the Roundtree Funeral Home, Friday evening, July 3, 2009, from 7 til 9. Mrs. Burkett will be carried to the church one hour prior to services. Roundtree Funeral Home is serving the Burkett family.
