John Sedgewick Smith

Homerville, GA Mr. John Sedgewick Smith, 87, passed away, Sunday, Sept. 4, 2016, in the Clinch Memorial Hospital, following an extended illness. Mr. Smith was born March 25, 1929, in Homerville, Georgia to the late Dewey H. Smith and Nancy Ola Highsmith Smith. He was retired from Modern Welding as a purchasing agent and was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force. He was preceded in death by one sister: Kate Shaw; four brothers: D. O. Smith, Haskell Smith, Grover Smith and Lois Smith. Survivors are one sister and brother-in-law: Dorothy & Ernie Wilson, Homerville; one great aunt, Alma Hinson, Homerville, and number of nieces, nephews and other relatives.
